What we make, how we make it, and who with, matters.
Millimetre brings design, engineering and making together. We take responsibility from early thinking through to fabrication and installation, working closely with collaborators to resolve the details that make a project possible. How we work matters as much as what we make. We value clear communication, open conversations and straightforward processes. Building lasting relationships through good work, delivered properly.

Established in 2006, Millimetre is a design and making studio working across art, architecture and the public realm. We work with artists, architects, designers, institutions and commissioners to turn ambitious ideas into things that can be made, installed and lived with.

Projects include Saltmarsh House, Fons Americanus, A House For Essex, The Strand Benches and A Room For London, alongside public artworks, cultural commissions and private projects.

We have worked with artists including Kara Walker, Alex Chinneck and Grayson Perry, and architects including Níall McLaughlin, Caruso St John and Thomas Heatherwick. Our work has been made for places including Tate Modern, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Canterbury Cathedral and Transport for London. As well as private homes and public spaces.
