Brock Street
Feature Planter for 10 Brock Street with Nex Architects and 8 Build for British Land
10 Brock Street, Kings Cross, London
February 2021
millimetre were commissioned to fabricate a decorative timber wall designed to divide the Main Lobby of 10 Brock Street into two zones. The wall consists of a continuous run of hexagonal oak niches forming an ‘L-shaped’ divide including lighting, planting and decorative infill panels.
As part of the commission millimetre also constructed a oak reception desk and a security access door towards the front of the building. The door was clad in mirror polished stainless steel hexagonal panelling and a glass vision panel.
The reverse of the feature wall is a flat plaster boarded surface with access to cabling and electrical connections within the structure.
Due to the overall size and weight of the finished installation, the wall was brought to site in components to be assembled in situ.
